Orissa to generate 20,000 Watts

This is very much in the path of the fact that Orissa will become the powerhouse of the country. Consequent to heavy industrialisation in progress in Orissa, this is a good step.

In addition to this in last year, some 10 MOUs were signed for power with private producers. This will definitly add to the power situation in the state.

Perhaps, the Govt. can use some of this power to continue the plan for electrification of villages. At this point, Orissa is a surplus power state.
